Cingular data outage?
 

Is anyone seeing a data outage? My BB users in downtown Cincinnati are only getting GSM and have been since 10:30 this morning, but Cingular doesn't know of an outage until I just called. Is anyone else having problems?

Full EDGE in Charlotte. No problems here.

The Cingular Network is having trouble here in New England (Boston area)

OK in Lexington, KY.

OK in Atlanta.

nothing reported for data outages in that area according to the tool Cingular uses to report outages to their employees....sorry....

i think the srp blackberry routers are down. :(

all of my SRP statuses are disconnected as of an hour ago.

I think the srp servers are down. Calling BlackBerry Now (I have TSupport :-)

i have t support also, good luck, been on hold for an hour so far...

BES for me here in Chicago appears to not be working properly either. I went into the control panel applet for the BB Server and tested Network connection and it's failing to connect to the following:

srp.na.blackberry.net (206.51.26.33), port 3101

It's just sitting there and any time I click the window I'm getting not responding on the application.

edit: finally timed out, looks like it also tried to connect to the other server:

srp.na.blackberry.net (204.187.87.33), port 3101
connect failed(): Connection timed out (10060)

Los Angeles area here. Does any body else have this problem?

Blackberry outage in Colorado w/ VZW...
Have not gotten any mail since around 1130-1200 mst

Just got an email from my bes admin saying that there is some sort of blackberry network outage...

I've been getting mail fine on my Verizon. I don't think an SRP issue would be causing the problems my users are having, as they can't even geta data connection to Cingular. If it was the Blackberry system, they would get a GPRS or EDGE connection still, just no e-mail etc, right?

BTW If there are SRP issues that are causing outages, whatever happened to the High Availability Infrastructure? This is weird, I don't seem to have an issues, and when I run a BBSRPtest it comes back fine on the NA SRP.

id imagine it is ALL of North America. that is what the na is for in the FQDN.

So far all of my users are still getting EDGE or GPRS, just that the srp is failing on the server here when I test is. I'm looking for my t-support info and I'll be giving them a call as well.

I'm in vacation in Orlando, FL and the data is working fine with Cingular.

Well looks like it's back. I just got some messages and tested via the applet again and it's connecting to their SRP servers.

i can also confirm that SRP is up again. :)

I had issues with Cingular voice service today as well as BB data. Dropped into GSM a couple times, and had no signal in several places where I usually have a good one.
