Default Thinking about a 7520

Please Login to Remove!

I am thinking about purchasing a 7520 but have a few questions.

1. Do I need the extra web service if I donít want to access the internet?
2. Can I sync it with outlook 2003 for email and calendar via a usb cable?

I have a palm now and would like having a phone and organizer in one unit. Any help would be appreciated.

1 - Nextel offers a data plan specifically for the 7520. Their data plan includes email and web access. If you want to email, you'll need the data plan.

2 - Yes, it is dependant on the USB cable for synching although BES users can have additional OTA synching of Outlook appointments.

note: Nextel may not offer you the option of 'not' having a data plan when you sign up. They made this very clear to my cousin when I gave him my 7510....he doesn't want data as well.

if you currently have nextel you can either add there 39.99 data plan which only give you 3mb of email space or there 49.99 for unlimited plan email or there is the option of taking the 99.99 plan which gives you free incomming and unlimited data plan with 300 anytime min and unlimted DC

you can also sign up with nextels webclient and have all of your pop3 and imap(for aol) forwarded to your blackberry (the webclient is free with any data plan)

tell you cousin to insist because no plan is availble with the blackberry of have him get the data plan and call and change his plan after it is on his phone it can and will be done anyone at nextel tells you differnt tell him to hang up until he gets the right agent to do this- this is very possible and many people at tier 1 nextel are in a lot of trouble right now for there lack of knowledge of the black berry
