I just tried the tape and it did work very very well

I have a 7100G and like to use my shirt tail to clean the screen. Works great unless you have a little lunch on your shirt.

wow thats really crazy how well that cleaned the screen!! we've come so far in technology and the thing u use to clean screens is scotch tape hahaha, thats funny too me thanks for the tip

I also use the cleaning cloth that you get when you buy new eye glasses. I wet the cloth, then I carefully wipe the screen by applying the least amount of pressure, turning and folding the cloth often to always have a clean section in contact with the screen. If there was any sand on the screen, i'd very carefully flick that away before wiping. This method has never failed to remove even fingerprints and make-up residues.

The best way to clean the screen is using a micro fiber cloth. Please DO NOT USE YOUR SHIRT! This will cause small scratches over time. Avoid tissue and all things of this nature as this too will cause more and more fine scratches to build up leading to a haze or film look on ur screen. Its the same effect as the swirl marks u get in ur cars paint from using regular towels to wash and dry it instead of a chamio type cloth.

zaakir you are absoutly right I just got a replacement BB and it was amazing looking at the screen and comparingthe two I didnt realize how scratched my screen had gotten

I use a Kensington Screen Guardian microfiber cleaning cloth. Works wonders.

I have found that the Notebook ScreenKleen pads that out company supply closet has for Notebook screens works the best. They are made by Advantus - www.advatus.com
I am sure there are other ones made jsut for notebook screens. Plus, these are so much easierr to carry (single serve packets) for both my laptop and BB then a scotch tape roll.
