Smile Want to head to Nextel for the BB 7520, but...

Please Login to Remove!

So i've been jonsing for the past year for either a treo 600/650 or any BB.

Currently i am with cingular/att and have a sony ericsson T616 for personal. I am also utilizing a palm m505. Add to that a crappy moto phone for nextel with work. I am in construction so nextel is a must.

So i cruise to netxel.com today looking for a BB and see the $100 rebate plus the $100 service credit for phone trade ins. Now it states PDA trade in, but my T616 is included! I say woo hoo! BUT the dreaded cancellation fee from cingular is $200. SO BB 7520 $249 -$100 rebate - $100 serv credit for trade in + $200 cancellation fee brings me back to $249 eh?

I think i can swing my company to pay for about 1/2 my monthly bill through expenses so i can keep my current personal cingular number. I just want to get everything down to ONE DEVICE!

And after reading a bunch of posts you all seem nuts over the BB. I have two friends with em and they love em, but they have verizon i think.

So is it worth the leap to nextel if my company gives me a stipend for the bill. OR do i suck it up reduce my cingular rate to next to nothing till its up later this year and submit a different trade in that I can buy on ebay for $30-40 and get a new number. I just hate the damn hassle of getting a new number....

I know i am all over the place here and i'm whining a bit, but i would have bought the 7520 about 30 minutes ago if i didn't get a 2nd or 3rd opinion from you all.....

Calgon take me away!

Thanks all in advance from a noob...

You would still effectively pay $49 for arguably the best BB device on the market...eat the $200 and dive in.
