Blackberry 8700e problems with Outlook 2007
 

Ok, on my bosses computer he is running Office 2007 and whenever he receives a message when Outlook is opened he won't receive it on his BB. On his laptop he receives it on both even if Outlook is open. I added a rule and that seems to be working, but since it's forwarded, it's from himself. I don't understand why it can't just work the same way as his laptop, if anyone has any suggestions, please, please, please elaborate. I have been messing with this thing for 3 days and about to go Office Spacistic.

In Outlook, try setting it do LEAVE MESSAGES ON SERVER. That will give the BB a chance to push it to the BB. It sounds like Outlook is retrieving it and deleting it from the e-mail server.

If you are on BES, you don't say, it could be something else. I am not familiar with BES, so another will need to help there should it be the case.

The way I have it set up is leave a copy on server and delete from server when deleted from deleted folder..something like that..:)

What setting is that under? And no, we do not use BES.

I don't have Outlook 20007m but the settings will be close to the same.

In outlook 2003, Tools > Options > Mail Setup tab > click on Email accounts > view or change existing > highlight the correct mail account > change > more settings > Advanced tab, place check mark at LEAVE A COPY OF MESSAGES ON THE SERVER.

and you can also check REMOVE FROM SERVER WHEN DELETED FROM DELETED ITEMS FOLDER as suggested above
