Unhappy Alternative way to download/"sync" Outlook data on Work Computer

Please Login to Remove!

I just bought a new BB Pearl and was trying to install the Desktop Manager on my work laptop. Half-way through installing it stops and prompted that I do not have the privilege to install because I am not the administrator.

Can anybody tell me if there is any other way that I could transfer the Outlook data into my BB? My company provides Outlook Web Access (OWA) and I have a personal computer that could install the BB desktop manager. I also have the palm program that was installed in my work computer for HotSync.

My IT people never allow us to install stuff into our computers! I don't think I will have any luck from them this time!

Thanks all~~

Only if they have a BES 4+ server that you can attach to and then sync wirelessly...

Try making a business case for the need for Desktop Manager. You need the software to sync.

Thanks a lot. I travel a lot but it is still not the default technology that everybody uses in the office. Sigh...I guess I will take your advice to talk to the IT help desk to see if they can let me install the software.

Thanks again!
