Default How do you do a wired enterprise activation?

Please Login to Remove!

runnning domino server with bes 4.0

we just upgraded the bes from 2.2 to 4.0 and need to add the users to it by the enterprise activation. we have run into a few issues with certain people taking 2-3 days to complete the wireless activation while some have been completed in a few minutes.

to simplify this as to not have anymore users take days to complete due to huge mail files, address books and calendar entries is it possible to do a wired activation instead to speed this process up? if so, what are the exact steps required to complete the enterprise activation over the wire.

hope someone can help - thanks.

what about the wireless synchronization of the personal address book? since there is no option in desktop manager for this (only calendar) how does this work if its the same process as 2.2? after enterprise activation is done would i still need to go into lotus notes - select inotes web access and synchronize contacts and journal seeing this is usually done wirelessly? this is really what I want to avoid. im hopeing over the wire activation will synch everything at once so i can avoid all wireless synchs during activation.

I'm not 100% if its any different with notes, but with Exchange, it will do everything, don't worry that it only says calendar wireless activation.

2-3 days sounds insane, are your blackberries only on slow networks?
