Hey guys i just bought blackberry pearl, and i have a question. I also bought a 1 GB media card for it, and i wanted to transfer some videos to the phone, and no luck. somehow i got it once but it was gone. Can someone tell me step by step what is the best way to do this. Thanks in advance

Did you transfer them in desktop manager to the sd card?

yea i tried doing that, but it wont show up on the phone, like when i go to media manager it shows that its there but not in the phone, ive tried samething with mp3 and it works just fine, but for some reason not with videos. I also tried to connect my phone to computer, click on my computer and click on removable disc and fidn blackberry folder, and just drag the items from my video folder to my blackberry video folder, but it doesnt work. Also should i use mass storage mode when i do this? thanks

yes, it pops up on my phone if i want to use the mass store mode and i say yes. do i need to convert the videos before i transfer them to my phone??

I think you should, but I am affraid I cant help you as I am newbie also.
What is strange, is that you should see the video folder even if the BB cant open it.

I can't even get MP3s to transfer????

anybody more knowlegdeble wanna chime in on this?? do the videos need to be converted?? if so what program is best for it??? ive tried mplayer but i dont really get how it works.

for some reason none of it worked, my problem is a little different from the problems those people are having,, i tried transfering the videos using windows explorer, and it shows that the videos are in the blackberry video folder, but for some reason my phone shows that are no videos. i have no problems transfering music, its just the videos. Im thinking i need to convert it from wmv to something else. somehow i got one video to work few days ago but i dont know how i did it.

What part of the instructions are confusing you???

this part, im confused about output and input file, i dont know what to fill in the blanks with

In other words.... For OUTPUT you need to set it to avi
For INPUT you can slect any type of media file wmv for example

i dont think i have avi. files on my computer its all wmv

it will OUTPUT the media to .avi which can then be transfered / viewed on the 8100...

hm that doesnt work for me either
