Combining phones and email - strategy help, please

Ok, I have a BB8700 for my person email and personal cell phone

Am about to start a new job, where I will likely need to wear a BB for work and where I will also have to list my cell # on business cards.

I want to be able to turn my business cell off during off-hours.

I don't want my personal email to be viewable or stored on my corporate servers (don't know yet if I will be on BES or if I can pop-mail my work mail).

I don't want to carry around 2-3 devises.

Suggestions?

TIA

BES doesn't store personal email (I assume you mean mail via BIS) however, a BES admin pretty much has full control over and pretty much complete access to a Blackberry connected to the company BES. That means that your two requirements above directly conflict with each other.

If privacy matters, you'll have to carry two Blackberries. If privacy doesn't matter and corporate IT policy allows use of BIS you can carry just one.

I didn't explain it very well. I meant that I don't know if my new firm will make me use BES and it will be locked down, or if I can BIS/pop-mail it. (is that possible with a small firm...that they'd allow me popmail access?)
