What I'm hearing so far is no. I bought mine at a corporate store and got it unlocked with no problems, but I was asked before hand if it was a launch unit because those couldn't be unlocked.

Answered in your other post. (Please don't double post)

Launch BB's usually can't be unlocked. It *may* be possible down the road but for now you probably won't be able to unlock it.

I got my Launch Party BB 8800 Unlocked, but I had to get the code from Cingular.

I am not or never have been a Cingular subscriber and they told me I might not get approved and it would take 5-7 days, less than 24 hours later it was in my email...

Weird thing was it said subsidy unlock code for 8700c, but its now working on T-mo
