Default No Contacts

Apologies for appearing naive but I'm new to the Blackberry having just converted from a Nokia E61 using Good Mobile Messaging.

My BB is activated and I'm using a hosted Exchange account with BES. E-mail is working fine and calendar items are syncing OK but my contacts and tasks are not syncing at all. Any ideas anyone?

In case you need it, all my contacts are currently stored in Microsoft Entourage on a Mac but I don't think that should make any difference as that is syncing fine with the exchange account with all my contacts showing on Outlook Web Access.

Any ideas greatfully received. Thanks.

Are you using filters in your contacts? I'm a newbie as well and was having trouble having contacts show up until I cleared all the filters, which I did by going into the address, clicking the wheel, choosing filter, and removing all the check marks, so all my addresses showed up in the first screen. It's not very efficient, but it's the only way I could make it work.

No filters are selected.

Ryan,

Have you checked to ensure that wireless sync is turned on for contacts? There are settings on the handheld and on the BES that control this.

Tech support for the hosted account seemed to think there was something wrong with the intial Enterprise Activation so sent a new activation password.

Now I can't activate Enterprise and just get a timeout message after around 14 minutes saying a connection could not be made to the server so I have absolutely nothing.

Its in the hands of tech support again. Hopefully they can sort it out as it's starting to get very frustrating.

Have them delete/readd you to the BES. If they have more than one, have them move you to a different one.

They've removed me and readded me and I still have the same problem. I haven't enquired about another BES yet but it's starting to become very frustrating.
