Default Is the DST patch required for BIS users?

Please Login to Remove!

I got five Blackberrys on BIS in my company, what will happen if I do not install. Will the world end?

You never know, it just might. However, my best guess is they just will not not be on the same page as everyone else with their appointments.

It is easy to apply the patch. I just went to mobile.balckberry.com from my device, clicked on the DST link, and it will direct you to the patch to be downloaded and installed OTA.

I did mine yesterday on the 7130c and it was a snap. I am a BIS customer with Cingular.
Might as well do it now just to be covered (thanks archer6 for the gentle nudge, btw).

It sure is - the BB still needs to have the new DST tables!

The patch is easy to download, and I did it just to be on the safe side instead of waiting for my IT guys to do it who btw, never responded back to me

That's a very good question..... will the world end....hmmm....

Perhaps the planet earth will develop a high speed wobble....

When you get to the RIM page describing the choices of patches, IGNORE where it gives you the option to reset your BB manually each time DST changes. I have this on very good authority directly from RIM.

I would suggest you apply the respective patches in this order:

1) Update your computer.
2) Update MS Outlook (if you sync your BB to it)
3) Update your BlackBerry(s)

Then if the earth is still wobbling you can look at your neighbor....
