Exchange Sync without enterprise server

I once read there was a way to have a computer on 24/7 running Outlook which is connected to the exchange server at my company that will sync my blackberry wirelessly. Is this possible? We do not have enterprise server.

Does this make sense?

Welcome to BB Forums.
You are talking about the "Desktop Redirector", which runs on a PC (up 24X7) and forwards e-mail to a BlackBerry. It does NOT do wireless sync. All it does is forward e-mail wireless. Please note that Desktop Redirector, which comes included with Desktop Manager with the BB, is only certified to work with Microsoft Exchange.
