I have a user with a 7250 that found that after he recieved a replacement laptop, loaded all the software, etc. That his BB no longer reconciles while connected. I checked his settings, some were off, but I corrected them.

Basically, the user advises that until he got the replacement laptop, he was able to read an email in Outlook and it would show that on the BB. Now it doesn't. Any ideas what I might be missing?

Did he setup any special Outlook rules?
BTW, just to clarify the problem. Is the email appearing on Outlook or BB?

It's appearing on both, he wants it that way so he has a copy of emails while away from his pc. When I send a test email, while the BB is connected to the pc, it shows in both pc and BB right away. Reading the email in outlook, and the email doesn't show as read on the BB. Even after a few minutes for reconciliation. Have tried this with DM and Redirector running and not.

I don't think there are any rules set in outlook that would mess with this. Basically, the new laptop would have all his settings reloaded after a backup before replacement of the laptop.

Hmm, no. That's about the deleted emails. This is about the read ones. He reads an email in outlook, and it shows read on BB. Thanks though!

Does that mean that if he reads the email, (but doesn't delete it), that it should show as read on his BB after a short spell?

Hi Spanishearl,
In my experience, the recon happens "almost" instantaneously. However, there were a few times when the recon took more than 15mins.
2 methods that worked for me:
1. Turn off the wireless and turn it on again
2. Restart the BB device
