I am considering switching all of my email accounts over and just using one gmail account, however I am new to gmail. Can anyone give me a little info? Does a gmail account get the same volume of spam and other crap that my yahoo and hotmail accounts have in the past? It seems that most people are pretty happy with gmail. Any problems? Issues?

Not in my experience but gmail seems to have much more effective spam filtering. Be sure to read the sticky at the top of the forum.

Gmail has an extremely accurate spam filter. Only a few get through in a given week. I have had only one good one caught by the filters. You should review them on a regular basis just in case.

I've had great luck with gmail, the spam filter works great and it puts me at ease knowing that I don't really have to worry about it.
