Default Filter Creation

Please Login to Remove!

Newbie BB user - I am using Cingular Webclient on BB 7290. I am trying to filter out messages to BB from certain addresses that I do not need to see in BB. I have followed the filter directions on the webclient but everytime I hit save - the filter does not save and only the default remains.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

I create all my filters on my BB and filter out anything I am just CC'd on, or that are "newsletters" that Iv'e signed up for, etc. To keep from getting any emails sent to my BB from Computerworld for example, I created a new filter I named Newsletters and I put the following in the From field: *computerworld.com

Filters does accept the use of wildcards and it has been working like a charm.

I have attempted to create filters with the asterick as the wildcard in the Subject field. It does not appear to work. Is there another wildcard that I should be using? I am attempting to filter out meeting responses so that they do not get sent to the users BB, but still arrive in Outlook. (Ex. "Accepted:*")

Thanks!

Filters are applied based on the way they appear in the list. Make sure there is not an earlier filter that would apply and send the notice to the handheld. Also, the next time a meeting response comes in, highlight it, go to the menu and click Filter Subject.
