why don't you pick up a cheap TMO phone on e-bay and then swap sims? Your data plan will be $10 cheaper/month. You can buy a couple more beers that way

Yea it seems like it could.. I dont have access to a blackberry running 4.0 that is active on a network, so I cant tell you if 4.0 has this feature..

Can anyone chime in here?
Anyone?

Curious to see how others do it as I'm debating that issue right now.
Personally I don't, but almost exclusively because I am now addicted to my Bluetooth car kit and headset. I administer BES for about 90 users currently (among other things - thank God the BES basically administers itself), and we have about a 35 to 40 percent uptake rate on using the BB as a phone (we give everyone the option). Those that use it will never say it's a great phone, but that the integration with their contact list and being able to carry one device are the things that compelled them to use the bberry as a phone.

I think the phone section will continue to get better, and with the introduction of more Blackberry Connect devices (SE P900, Mot MPx etc), more and more people will choose to carry one device...

Just my $0.02..

Jon

Up till I signed up for a public BES/MDS I was using my Berry AND a (smart)phone as I needed IM on the road.

Now I'm a 100% Berry user, much easier to carry around...

I just switched from a Moto V60i to a 7750 both with VZN and found the phone quality to be better both for me and the person on the other end.

I sometimes use it as a phone (mainly if I'm working), but I keep a Nokia 6230 as my non-work phone. It's small so I can take it out to bars, etc, and has Bluetooth which is a must for me to use with my headset and as a link to my computer (so I can use it as a modem).

I use my phone 98% of the time. That may change in the coming weeks, but I doubt it.

New to the whole bb thing (7750 on bell), but can't get digital reception @ home, so have to stick to my T100 for voice for now

Default both...

I toggle back and forth between my BB which I use as a phone/PDA and an IPAq w/BT phone.
I like the idea of only carrying one device and the BB phone portion has great RF and is certainly loud enough to use on the road. The supplied headset is great and I can dial from my address book without having to dial at all really

Nick,
Yep, I had a r520m along with a Plantronics BT headset and my Palm T|3. Great combo, which I'd still use if Fido coverage wasn't so bad here

I'm on a 7510 all the time. I've got another phone that I keep in my car just for GPS, and nothing else.

Hi,

If I got my SE T-610 unlocked, should I be able to pop the SIM from my BB into that phone and use it?

Thanks,

Rob Yale

AFAIK, you should be able to use the phone, SMS messaging, and perhaps WAP browing. You will not get Blackberry data service (emails)

interesting. Well, now all I need to do is to find out how I can unlock the T-610 in the Toronto area.

I was going to switch between my I95cl and my 7510 but I haven't touched my I95 since the day the 7510 arrived.
