Default Fips 140-2

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I am trying to find out what software people use for encryption that meets FIPS 140-2.

I have searched the forum, but can't paste the link to it, because I have less than 10 posts. If you search "fips", it comes up as the only post, but am unsure what that it is actually relaying.

It looks to be some internal setting to put the blackberry into a FIPS 140-1 or 140-2 setting?

Basically, I'm trying to find out if there is any encryption method to encrypt the entire device. The actual data stored on it (names, numbers, etc), not just password protected.

Any help is appreciated, also sorry if this would be considered the wrong forum.

I have not done the configurations but these might help.

These are links to the security policies that RIM filed to get the FIPS 140-2 validations.
