I'm totally new to BB and havign trouble trying to figure out the most efficient way to handle emails. I would appreciate any suggestions!!

Here's my problem: If I leave it on handheld/mailbox reconcilliation, then anyting I delete off my BB message list is automatically deleted from outlook mailbox as well (including emails I filed in folders with the intent of saving). But, if i leave it on handheld only, then I end up having to read hundreds of emails twice (in outlook mailbox and on BB). I hate letting my BB message list get too long, so I'd like to erase old BB messages sometimes -- but again that means emails I filed in outlook with the intent to save also get deleted!

Can I occasionally delete from handheld only without it affecting my outlook mailbox when i switch back handheld/mailbox reconcilliation?

Set it to prompt.

in messages go to "options"> "email reconciliation"> "delete on": and choose "prompt" or "handheld". this will make it so you can either choose to delete on both the handheld and exchange server or just on the handheld.
