Thumbs up Unable to send message on Blackberry DST2007

Please Login to Remove!

I have currently solve the problem above and I want to share the procedure that I followed. If someone can please give me some feed back on may be potential issue I would appreciated. I have

Windows 2000 Server with Exchange 2000
Blackberry Server 4.1 on a Windows 2000 Server

Step 1 - installed update patch for Windows 2000 Server
Step 2 - Installed update patch for Exchange Server

This is when the problem started of my user were unable to send messages from there blackberry to any internal mailbox. All other functions were working fine with the exception to that function. After doing some research I found that the problem was that the "Send as" permission had been revoked. So I followed the Assigning permissions for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server administration account article KB02276. The only task that was not completed was Task 5 which was place the "Send As" on my active directory following task 5 instructions. Then I stop service for my Blackberry server for 20 minutes then restarted. tested with a user and he was able to send a message but then I ran problems with users that had 'Domain Admin' permissions which are part or a protected group. They belong to a folder adminHDholder which sends out a template every hour and if it finds any changes to the security settings it changes them back to the security setting of this folder. The way I resolve the problem with this issue was by setting this folder security settings to Inherent permissions which acquired the "send as" permission needed to send messages from there BlackBerry. Well that was a quick overview of what I did but it actually took me about 4 days to find all of this information and many hours waiting to talk to Blackberry techncian. If you guys have any input or any issue I might experience following these procedure I did please let me know. I you need any clarification on what exactly I did in more detail feel free to ask and I will post as soon as I can .
