Default Deleting SMS messages

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user who has filled up his sim card with sms messages. Now he gets a pop up box saying that its full and to delete some of them. I can't find how to ACTUALLY delete them. Is it under options or some other menu?
Any help would be very appreciated!

I had the same problem last week when I left my T-Mobile IM client logged in all afternoon and it logged all the logins/logouts. I couldn't find a way to clear the messages either.

How did I clear the messages? I popped the SIM into my girlfriend's Samsung phone and deleted them there.

(I'm on a 7100g so I'm not sure if you get there the same way.) ..... if you go into Setting....Options...SMS there is an option there to 'Leave messages on SIM card', yes or no. I assume it is set for yes. Changing to no would keep them from being saved in the future after you delete them.

Go into the messages section, bring up the menu and select 'View Folder'

You should have 3 SMS folders at the bottom - Inbox, Outbox, and SIM Card Inbox. You can mass delete them from there.

This is EXACTLY the thread I was looking for!
My 6230 did the exact same thing, however:
My "leave messages on SIM" has always been set to 'NO'....
There were absolutely no messages in any of the 3 SMS folders....
A search for SMS messages yielded the result "No Messages"...
yet I kept getting the pop-up saying my sim card was full. T-Mobile technical support was also stumped.

The ONLY solution was to pop the sim card into a phone (I had to run to the T-mobile store to do this since my BB is my phone) and delete the messages. That step also caused some of my icons to disappear.

Is there ANY way to read and delete the SMS messages "stored" on the sim card?
