I successfully extracted the jogwheel from and old 7290 today. I would not recommend this to anyone timid and make sure you proper equipment and do Practice. Fortunately I have experience with this stuff. I will post pictures and instructions too..... on a side note I checked mail after extracting jogwheel and what did I get from RIM today A BRAND NEW JOGWHEEL



I was going to use the 7290 to replace my 8700 Jogwheel now I can use the new one. Good thing is I get to practice installing the wheel removed from the 7290 back into it before I perform procedure on 8700
