Default BlackBerry won't send e-mails

Please Login to Remove!

I've got one 7130 that has recently been set up on our BES that begins to send e-mails but ends up with the red x next to the message. It receives messages as it should and can even send Registration or PIN. I have completed the Enterprise Activation twice and the problem persists. Any suggestions are appreciated.

thx

If you open email with the red X and scroll to the top of it you will see error message.
What does it say?

thanks for the replies. I've tried resending and same issue. The user actually purchased a new device over the weekend and I have the same issue with it.

The message says "Unlisted message error"

Is this running on BES and exchange?

We patched our exchange and BES for DST and no one could send, because of the "send as" permission that was revoked on all blackberry users in our active directory. There is a lot of documentation on it from RIM and MS, but long story short we needed to grant our blackberry service account explicit send as rights on each user.

Question

Do you have a link to this information from RIM or MS?

I'd love to post the two links but the policy restriction won't let me until I have ten posts....

Its MS article kb912918

and blackberry KB04707

google those they will be near the top of the results.

try pulling the battery for about 30 seconds andthen let it reboot, log on and try to resend.
Pulling the battery seems to cure many ills.

I tried the battery removal, as we use that often. After looking into it, I dont think we have to additionally add the send as to each user since other users are sending just fine...

I am the admin troubleshooting another user's handheld. Do you think that doing that should correct the problem?

I would, but this user is out of town, so we are seeing if there is anything we can do remotely for the time being before he returns.

I am experiencing similar issue. BES 4.0 Exchange Srvr 2003 sp2 no recent patches. Only two users out of 61 affected. Have explicitly set the Send As permission for the BES service account on AD accounts of the two users, yet they are not able to send. Error msg: Unlisted message error.

olsookie, see this following thread.

EDGE...or should it be edge

seems to be a widespread intermittent issue on AT&T/Cingular.
