I tried to SMS someone and had an X by the message. Upon opening it, the error was "Protocol Error".

1. What does this mean?
2. Why is it in one spot that this happens in?

I had that last week, just tried to resend it and it went through ok. Not sure what a 'protocol error' was..

Well, it was in just one spot so that too is strange. I just thought someone would have a reason of what that means. But, thanks anyway.

Did you go a couple blocks before resending? I had to.

i am having this same problem right now with my Pearl, i hit resend and sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesnt, i will try powering down the pearl and restarting and sometimes it helps but sometimes its still a red X, its really bugging me! especially since im trying to talk to this hot chick! lol

that should only happen if u dont have service or if service is low....if u have service when it gives u the X then i dunno whats up lol
