Hey gang. We are having some issues with BlackBerry's and the BES server.
We have had several users getting a red X upon sending out emails from their BB's. We have tried to wipe and reactivate these BlackBerry's and all of the Cingular ones did reactivate, but the Verizon user will not activate. We contacted Verizon and everything is registering fine on their end. The end users receive the following error message:
Status Message Desktop email program unable to store message. This is followed by a red X next to an email message.
Now, the thing is, we have been prompted to restart the BES ever since some updates came through (I believe through Microsoft). Would this be affecting the users in any way - causing the RED X or not activating?
How long would the server be down for if we restarted? Will emails hold while restarting takes place? Is there anything I need to know before we restart the BES?
