I have a 7520 I've used for about a month and a half, and now have to sell it (thanks NRS HR). I have a lot of great software on the unit that I would like to keep on for the person who buys it, but how can I keep the software thats on it, but erase my addy book and calendar and what not?

I've searched and haven't found much besides it's going to be tough. I really don't want to go through my calendar and delete everything one by one, but I don't want to erase the webviewer and everything else that is on it.

I have a 7290 and recently needed to wipe the handheld. I was surprised that when I did wipe the handheld from the security options, all my additional apps (like 411) were still there. I essentially just wiped my data.

Make a backup of the handheld first if you are concerned and if it tears it down to far, just restore back to the handheld.

Scotth - that works if you are on 4.0.

Baunch - set a password (Options / Security). Then enter it incorrectly 10 times. Follow the prompts. After the 10th incorrect password entry, all personal data (owner, calendar, contacts, e-mails, etc) will be wiped out.

Not sure what you searched on, since this has been posted at least 20 times. By me alone.

Why not just go into Desktop Manager Back & Restore, click on Advanced, and use the list and Clear button to delete what you don't want on there? Is this a less secure method than what you're after?

Oh, as always, run a backup before doing anything!

No more secure; by using either of these methods you can erase the data without having to cradle up.
