Default purchasing new BlackBerry

I'm currently an 850 user, but but I'm looking to upgrade to one of the newer models in the 77xx series. I'm most interested in the AT&T version, since I could add it to my already existing plan with them. The problem is, these things are just so expensive! I bought my 850 off Ebay about 2 yrs ago; the 77xx is almost non-existent there. There aren't many options in where to buy them. I guess my basic question is, how long will it take for the 77xx series to go into the sub $250 range?

Also, the new 7100t is looking really good, including the price. Other than being quad-band, does this device have anything over the 77xx series? Being T-Mobile only sucks, but I'm willing to get it if there are few compromises due to the price.

Btw, the BlackBerry would be for my personal use and not in any work/corporate-type setting. Thanks for your advice!!

I wouldn't hold your breath on a price drop anytime soon. The next BB hardware upgrade will be the BB 7290 meaning it could be sometime till there's an upgrade to the 77xx serires of products. If you do like the 77xx series you'll have to swallow the cost, you can find deal I got my 7780 on eBay for $475 you could see if any of the carrier are offering rebates? The 7100 does look to be a really great unit, keep in mind it have a much different keyboard compared the traditional BB keyboards.
