Question Email synchronisation on activation

Please Login to Remove!

When we activate an account on a BES server, does all emails in the Inbox on the Exchange server are supposed to be reconciliated on the Handheld? I did an activation and everything synchronized well, calendar, contacts, but no emails were sync. Only new email received/sent show up on the Handheld.
I thought the BES was copying everything from the exchange (inbox, sent items, calendar, tasks, contact) ?

No the BB pre-populates with a limited number of emails...IIRC the maximum is 7 days worth or 200 messages whichever is the lesser... usually enough for most folks..this can be adjusted om the BES if you prefer but only to less than these limits..

If you've got really old messages that people want to keep then install Desktop manager and run switch device wizzard...

ps - posting BES stuff in the BESadmin forums will generally get you a more tech related response..
