|  O2 phone pin release related question

I am new to the forum, one of my work colleague has recently upgraded her blackberry from 8700 to 8800, and she is going to give her 8700 to replace my good old 7230.
Her current setup is BIS with o2email account, and 8700 is already switched 8800 on o2email's BIS page, my question will be: when she changed her pin and imei number on o2email's BIS page, will the pin be released as well? Or does she need to contact o2 to get them to sort it out?
