Default SIM card info

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone. I'm having my Nextel phone replaced by a Nextel Blackberry 7520. I have a question. Can I just remove the SIM from the Nextel phone - it's a SIMGUS103R, which I believe is a 32MB SIM card - put it in the Blackberry and still have my numbers?

Will moving over he SIM be all I need to do to be able to use the phone, just like when we upgraded the phones to newer models?

Did you call NEXTEL and ask them?

with most carriers who use a SIM card , moving the SIM will move the number. It will not move the Data plan if you have one or allow data on the BB if you dont have one. Moving the data will generally require the activation of the BB via the carrier or if on a BES, enterprise activation.

With GSM your data plan should be tied to your SIM card. I have no idea how iDen works... However, BES and BIS are tied to the PIN of the device.

We're not supposed to contact Nextel ourselves. Company policy is to go through our own IT dept for any questions.... and BB will have been obsolete for a decade by the time they reply.
