Default date usage myth

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry, I meant DATA USAGE MYTH..

I was told it doesn't count towards my data usage if I don't click onto the emails to open them up. So basically when I receive any emails, if I just read whatever shows on the screen and delete the emails without opening up the emails, I shouldn't be charged for data usage, Is it true?

Who told you this? I don't think so since it has already been pushed to your device.

Have you checked your data usage to see how much you have used?

Nope. Data was used to push the email to your BB. as Dubdub says.

Now, if you don't click More on long email you won't be charged for the portion of the long email that wasn't downloaded ot your BB. Perhaps whoever told you that was confusing the More feature with email delivery in general. The same is true for attachments.

The blackberry only receives the headers of all the emails. When you select them it then loads the rest of the contents

The solution is simple:

Get an unlimited data plan and don't look back.

Cheers......
