Is there any way to make a profile change from ring to vibrate, for example, by the time of the day? So because I am a student I could just make my phone vibrate during class and ring in between or after class.

That is not possible within the Blackberry alone. However, third party software Blackberry Alerts, that is possible. It is not free, but is inexpensive. Look in the Aftermarket Software forum below this one for more details...

Wirelessly posted (VZW 8703e: BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

That feature is available on some Windows Mobile 5 devices. It switches to vibrate mode if your calendar indicates you're busy. Nice feature but it's not available on the BB.
