Default 7520 backup battery

Please Login to Remove!

Has any one had any luck replacing the battery back up in a 7520?
I have many 7520's with bad back up batteries and I don't want to throw them out due to a part that cannot cost any more than $5.00. I know that they are soldered to the board, but it cannot be that hard to replace it, can it? I do know how to solder, and I have other units that are broken for other reasons so I have no shortage of parts so I can replace it. But before I jump into something I want to know if anyone has done it and had luck with it.

Thanks in advance...

Thumbs down NO SUCH LUCK (n)

The battery is a 'c293' and it is heat sensitive (so am I) as well as it is soldered in in some way that I could not get it loose with out ripping the entire bracket off the board.
PAIN IN MY ASS

No pics either cause it did not work; I figure why should I share pictures of my failures. It would just be a self slap in the face.
