NOT ALL attachments are viewable on your BB. You should have the BB Attachment loaded in your operating system... go to Options, Advanced, Applications, and scroll through, and Blackberry Attachment Service should be listed.

For those attachments that CAN be viewed on the BB, such as JPG, GIF, etc, just highlight the attachment, click to VIEW ATTACHMENT, follow the prompts from there. Some other attachments such as MS Word documents, Excel files, and PDFs might require a third party viewer.

lbranan: Is there a certain type file you are attempting to view?

Clyde: the poster is brand new to the forum, helping the user is the desirable goal here.

Blackberry Attachment Service is listed. When I put the cursor in or at the end of the the name of the attachment and click on it, I don't have the option to open.

If you are receiving your messages via the BlackBerry Redirector service (BIS, not BES) attachments are not included with the message. The message will indicate there is an attached file, however, you are not given the option to open it.

The only time I can open attachments is if the message is pushed from one of my POP3 accounts. My work email that is redirected to my handheld does not include any attachments.

Hope this helps.
