I tried it with a different gmail account and it updated without a hitch. It still doesn't work with 2 other accounts I'm trying to add.

I deleted my gmail account from BIS last night and re-added it this morning. I haven't gotten a chance to test email myself, but the account validated on BIS, something it was not doing last night.

I deleted and readded 5 gmail accounts but I still can't add the same 1 account. I pulled the SIM, re-registered the handheld, pulled battery, etc

Dunno what to tell you, I just got a chance to test my emails and they came through. Only problem I'm experiencing is that duplicate gmail email thing...which I forgot what the fix was. I know I don't have my Gmail forwarded.

My email went down last night as I was unable to send anything from any account for a while. I could not even receive new service books until I re-registered with the network.

Part of me thinks it may have something to do with MissingSync as I was connected to it (but did not sycn) and then when I disconnected from MissingSync and my iMac... my email issues began.

I have since done a full sync with MissingSync and email is working fine. It was just weird as a LOT of people were having Gmail issues last night. There was even a post on the Cingular support forums about it.

Who's that peekin' in my window?...POW....nobody now.

Well, my Gmail works fine now. Odd thing is that yesterday while at work, everything I did Google-related was slow as crap. Gmail (on the web) gave me a few errors while trying to log-in/out, send/receive. Google Calendar gave me errors too and even a Google search gave me a 500 error. Could this have been an issue on Google's side?

I have Cingular and have no troubles here, nor have I had any hitch from the get go--Odd how it is hit or miss and not a constant issue with ALL accounts.

I think it was a network issue since it took me forever to get Gmail emails - I hope it was solved. I have Cingular BIS service

Hope this make some sense to someone, might help....

I have TMo and Gmail. I had not got any emails for a day or so and had folks complaining that they emailed me.

Hhow my mail is set up, I have two gmail email accounts. One gmail account (Acct B) forwards all of its mail when it gets delivered to (Acct A). Acct A then, keeps all of the mail in its mailbox and forwards a copy of the email to my BB. Gmails were coming in, but they were getting forwarded to my BB.

Contacted TMo, they played the "dumas" game with me, so I started poking aroung with the BIS, and I actually added a new account, my Acct A address; the BIS did its thing and sent me an Enterprise Activation email. Then I went and deleted the account that I just created. Went to my wifes yahoo account, and sent an email to Acct A, and magically it got forwarded to my BB. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......

Sounds like something at the providers is hosed up (TMo,etc, or was) Hope this helps som poor lost souls.....

I don't have the red X in my account, but I've been having trouble receiving my Gmail mail on my blackberry for a couple of days. It stopped working, so I deleted and re-created the account on T-Mobile's website, and it started working again for a day or so, but then it stopped again this morning...

I got this email from Google last night, there was a delay in getting it on my BB (5-7 minutes):

Hello,

Thank you for your report.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. The issue you
described should now be resolved. If you continue to experience
difficulties, please respond to this message, and we'll investigate
further.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

Now push??

I thought they were push all along. So what is new or claimed to be new with this new version of BIS?

BTW, I just tested with an email from my work account to both my Yahoo and Gmail accounts and it was as fast as ever, got them in under 10 seconds.

Very nice. I just went into my Yahoo and Gmail accounts and was expecting to see thing I had deleted and sent on my BB still there and not in sent items but it appears to have reconciled both the deletes and the sent items in Yahoo and Gmail.

Just looked again and it appears Gmail has been doing this for a while. I have items sent from my BB that are showing up as sent items in my Gmail account at least back to March.. cannot tell if it goes back further.

Could it have something to do with the article on BlackBerryCool:

How do I get the BIS 2.3 Is it a download or automatic? Does it depend on the carrier?

Okay, if you are a vzw user and I assume this will apply to all carriers, they are testing the product for their network. When available, it will be a simple migration. No release date.
