Default Restore Difficulties

Please Login to Remove!

Please forgive me if this answer lies in the forum. I searched Backup & Restore and there is just so much you can read.

I did a backup and then a restore on a 7520 on a BES with Enterprise Activation. It doesn't restore the "personal" type options like font's, bookmarks etc.

When I try to do an advanced restore the items I want to restore are visible in my desktop databases but highlighting them does not allow me to "move them over" for restoring. I can however move them the other way from the handheld to the desktop DB. This is obviously not what I want to do.

I also tried turning off wireless sync on tasks, email, note and calendar on the HH and that didn't help.

Can anybody help?

Don

I know this is a little late, but I found your post on a search for this problem. Now that I know the answer, I'll post here too.

Connect to machine.
On berry, delete the desktop(SYNC) service book
On desktop, Go to advanced restore.
Do your thing
Disconnect and reconnect to get service book back.
