Since Friday around noon I receive an Activation Server message every 15 minutes. It is great to be "welcome[d] to Blackberry Cingular Wireless," but after 200 welcomes it gets a little old. Anyone know what is going on? A call to Cingular got me all the way to RIM who indicated that they would look into it.

Sounds like they are having an issue with provisioning the account.... You should just get the one.....

i had this problem with rogers

rim has upgraded the BIS server

you need to call your carrier and have them delete your web client acct and then log in and create a new acct ( recreate your old account)

this will solve it...i had about 30 welcome emails first day

or you can put on a filter as a short term solution
