- Email appears in the user's Blackberry and displays a "From" entry that is randomly selected from the recipient's address book.

The same email displays from the correct sender when viewing in Outlook or Entourage; the incorrect "sender" information only appears in the user's Blackberry.

The user switched his blackberry from 8700 to 8800 and the problem followed him.

This may help you.

Check the Desktop Contact List (MS Outlook, etc.). What you are looking for are discrepancies in the name of the contact, and the actual e-mail address.

For Example I may have a contact listed/named as "Me", where the e-mail address (associated) is actually .

With an entry like the abovememntioned, when my BlackBerry receives an e-mail from it will display as showing from Me on the BB (will appear as normal on my Desktop).
