Default Enterprise activation question

New to the blackberry, I am a BB user that hooked up with a company BES server.

Under what kind of situations that I need do a enterprise activation?

If I need do a enterprise activation, what kind of steps needed to be done on server side and the blackberry side?

Please speak to your company BES administrator.
You need not worry about Enterprise Activation until you are notified by your BES administrator. It's not something you should use on your own.

thanks for your reply. I know I have to talk to admin and have to go through admin. I just want to know the impact before I talk to the BES admin.

The reason I am asking this because potentially I will update my OS myself (admin said ok) and I want to know how do I get back to BES once I refreshed OS.

Any time a new BB is added to the BES or the OS is updated on a BB or a wiped BB is being re-added to the BES.

Not quite. An update to the latest OS will result in the BB's automatic re-activation. This was a feature that came about with OS 4.1 (or so). The user will not need to manually do the enterprise activation.
