Hey all. Ill be overseas sometime soon and was looking for suggestions for a good set of adapters to take with me to convert 220v to 110v...

Are there items out there that do both the converting from 220v to 110v and that also do the plug adapter change?

I need to charge, of course my bb, my mp3 player, and a camera (I think that's all).

Oh, I may also need to convert an electric clipper (like the ones they use in the barbershop for a buzz cut)...

And on another note, I called tmo to ask about international email and the person I spoke with said that the international plan includes BOTH email and data....I know I've read other threads that this may be wrong, but a lot of people have posted that they werent charged for data, so lets cross my fingers.

Your OEM charger will work AS LONG AS you have the proper prongs for the specific outlet you'll have available. Otherwise, any international converter from Brookstone, etc will serve your needs.

The international plan does include all data. If you use the $20 (I think that is the cost) I believe you are covered completely as far as email and browsing. If you take the per KB international data browsing can get really expensive. The only reason I set my users up with the per KB plan is because it only applies when they use it (and we tell them no internet browsing!!!) and I don't have to turn it off and on all the time when they come and go -- which you can do with the unlimited plan.

If whatever adapter you've already got for a device says something like "input voltage 100v-240v" I'd guess that you'll just need an adapter to make it fit in the right size hole, rather than convert the voltage. I'm in the UK, and UK Blackberry chargers come with UK, US and Euro-style removeable prongs, so travelling from here is just a case of swapping those over. If either your camera or MP3 player charger is rated 100-240v and has a standard cable such as figure-8 one, then that's another option.

I'd be concerned that the Brookstone thing says "Caution: Not for use with battery chargers, massagers or electronics".

The charger that comes with your BlackBerry is good from 110-240v. YOU DO NOT NEED A TRANSFORMER FOR THAT.

I travel globally and have not carried a transformer in years. My laptop charger is 100-240; BB is 110-240. iPod is 110-240.

If you have lots and lots of adapters required, check out the iGo charging solution which works really well.

You will need plug adapters as stated in earlier posts.

Be careful with the data. I went to the UK and spent a week in Scotland and London and was charged $15/mb of data. The charges showed up on the next bill but YMMV.

Just got back from India and I took T-MO BB and international plan DID NOT include data. It was only for email and data was 15$/MB
so check with provider on this.
Chargers: should be fine as long you have the right prongs.

I am on BES and as far as I can tell BB International provisioning from T-Mobile allowed me to use my BB in UK, The Netherlands and India during my last trip. That incudes all the data at $0.015/KB equating to $15/MB.

With adaptors you can buy the Brookstone one or many time I have found hotels having American outlets.
