Default 507 Icon on my 7520 BB Device

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm new at the forums and i have been searching for a solution for my problem but couldnt find any information that fixed my issue.

Here's the thing:

My BB device worked perfectly yesterday morning until during the day i noticed the the battery marks on my BB showed i had no baterry at all (the marks showed full battery 10 minutes before i noticed this) and my wireless was set to OFF. I thought this was a problem with the battery itself and thats why the wireless turned off. So i turned off my BB device and turned back on. The battery still showed as empty.

So i decided to borrow a battery from one of my co-workers (he has the same model as me), so i placed the battery and turn the device on again and the same problem persisted.

I decided to do a wipe out on the device and reinstall the OS (which i have done several times on other BB devices). So i wiped out the BB and downloaded the newest version for my BB 7520 with Nextel.

Opened the desktop manager software and executed the "Application Loader". While going through the installation i get to the third step "Load radio software" i suddenly got this error message:

"A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Unable to communicate with the radio hardware. Please ensure that a charged battery is installed in the device and try the loading operation again. [P:0x0000000F]"

and my blackberry now shows this: http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...a/DSC01232.jpg

So i now cant reinstall my OS or do anything with the BB device

Please help

PS. I allready wiped out the BB with the javaloader.exe and uninstalled-reinstalled the desktop manager software and desktop handheld software

That just means you need to reinstall the operating system. It's like a PC saying "Invalid System Disk or Disk Error" Go to the thread on OSes and download the latest Nextel 7520 hand held software. And load it on your PC, when you connect to the application loader it will automatically fix it.

Also check off reload radio software.

You have probably lost all the data on the device, but assuming you had the auto-backup enabled, it shouldn't be an issue. (You probably have a loader backup from the last time you tried to update the software)

Thank you for your response, but i just actually got off the phone with Nextel support and i told them about my issue and they let me know that this is a common HARDWARE issue with this BB model. I will need to return the BB and they will give me a new one

thanks for your help anyway :D
