Default BB Pro's - I need your help...

Please Login to Remove!

Here's the deal:

1. small company - NO Blackberry Enterprise Server
2. IT admin won't lower security settings so I can access using Blackberry Internet Service

Work-around: use MS Outlook rules to have messages forwarded

Problem: rules set up correctly - but rules don't work! Messages not forwarded - Arrgh!

I hope some has experienced this issue and can help.

Open to any ideas - thanks!

Is the Desktop Redirector an option?

Many companies disable the ability to write a rule to send e-mail outside. Security concerns. Valid, also...

Look at the BlackBerry Desktop Redirector. It requires you to run it on a PC which is logged in to your network 24X7. But it works (assuming you have and Exchange e-mail server).

Default redirector not an option unfortunately...

Yes- I'm aware of the Redirector...but this really won't work as I get booted off-line after so many hours of non-activity.

Would really prefer to get the rules option working.

thanks!

In order to get the rules working the option will have to be enabled by security/admins. I think you'd have an easier time convincing them to allow BIS than you would convincing them to allow certain rules in Outlook.
