I am currently with cingular because they have the best coverage in my area. I am considering getting an 8800, my first blackberry. My question is about plans and how much I can expect to pay for them. I would like to get my e-mail and I send quite a few text messages. I don't make very many phone calls so I don't need a ton of minutes.

For starters I suggest you look at Cingular's website and check out their plans. Only you know how much you use both in voice and text messages.

However, for email and Internet you will need a BB dataplan. No other plan works. I assume you will need the personal BIS plan which is $34.99 for unlimited data, less $5 if you have a qualifying voice plan (450 mins a month, I think). 200 TMs is 4.99. There is also a BB plan that includes something like 3000 TMs a month for between $40 and $50 an month I think. I don't know about voice plans, look on the website.
