Unhappy Wireless Reconcile Option Not Available!

Please Login to Remove!

On my 7290, wireless reconcile isn't working. When I go to Options from the Message List, there's no Wireless Reconcile option to select. I'm stumped, any help appreciated!

I searched all forums for "Wireless Reconcile" and "Wireless Reconciliation" before typing my question and couldn't find any info on this particular problem. All the articles I found had to do with server issues. I couldn't find anything on my issue, which is a missing menu option on the handheld; this is preventing me from enabling the Wireless Reconcile option.

We run BES (Windows 2000 Exchange Server). My desktop OS is WinXP Pro 5.1 (SP-1). My Desktop Manager s/w is 4.0.0.30. My handheld is a 7290 running v4.0.0.219 (Platform 1.8.0.129).

Appreciate any help!

I am having problems with that as well. I just upgraded to Package Version: 4.0.0.274
Consisting of:
Applications: 4.0.0.219
Software Platform: 1.8.0.129
from Dobson. It used to allow me to choose to delete from both the handheld and my actual mailbox account, but it doesn't give me that option any more. I have to log onto the internet and delete the messages from my account manually now.

I don't use BES or anything... PLEASE HELP!

Figured it out. I ended up removing the battery and sim and restarting. The email reconciliation option was there then.

The Reconcile option will dissapear if the encryption key gets out of synch with the server. The only reliable fix that I've found is to wipe the handheld (under options, security) and then re-run the enterprise activation process.

To the other poster, afaik the delete function only works with BES.

Try resending your service books from BWC. That actually worked for me.

(Settings) => Options => Service Books =>
Highlight xxxxxxxxxx[SYNC] service book => (wheel)Delete =>
(wheel)Undelete.
after a few moments of wireless traffic a new copy is downloaded.
If the [SYNC] service book doesn't exist - regenerate encryption key or resend service books.
