Hi everyone:

I'm a pretty happy camper with the Pearl on T-Mobile's network, but all the buzz about the Curve (8320?) has got me really interested in possibly getting it once it's released by T-Mobile.

My question is: how easy is it to switch over all of my programs and information from the Pearl to the new device? Right now, I've got:

1) Blackberry Alerts
2) Beyond411
3) Color Your Trackball
4) MobiReader

I also purchased Media Studio for Blackberry from Handango (which allows me to convert and view DVD movies on my Pearl).

Will it be easy to transfer everything over to a new device?

It's very very easy, especially with the latest version of Desktop Manager 4.2 Service Pack 1, and the Switch Device Wizard. It will get most everything... some third-party apps might now port over so save links and/or registration numbers for your bought apps, before you switch, but everything else will.

I'd recommend just reinstalling 3rd party apps OTA if you have that option. I'm not sure if the Color Your Trackball will work since it seems to only work on the 8100 IIRC.

Now the only challenge is to have patience and wait for the Curve to arrive on T-Mobile!
