I would say it depends on three things. (1) how you set up cryptmagic. I have it and if I recall, there is a time out before it stops running and asks for a password. (2) Are you using a strong password (upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols) or are you using "password" or your name? (3) how determined the hacker is to getting at your data. I don't believe any system is uncrackable.

In short, if you set a reasonable timeout (I think mine is 2 or 5 minutes) and use a strong password, you'll keep out reasonable attempts to get your data.

Regards-Michael G.

thanks for the response....

i also found other security software....they all look pretty secure, it's just a personal pref. thing.

when you run backups from the DM, does this data also get backed up or do you need to do it thru a desktop client from cryptmagic ?

Wirelessly posted (9900: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

See also my review page on these. Crypt is one of the best. DM doesn't back it up.
