Default BB 7520 Ring tones

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a use 7520 for use on Nextel. It came without a SIM. I installed my SIM from my old phone and basically the phone works (make and receive calls), however the is no browser (I had internet access on the old phone). I ask Nextel about this and they said I need to get a BB SIMS and Plan before the phone will work properly for the internet. True?

The problem is I can't hear any of the ringers. Yeah, I know, its been discussed before. The part I'm confused about is how to add a new tone without having browser/internet access. I found one that seems loud enough. How do I upload this to the phone without internet?

You can't.
You need a Blackberry Data Plan, and Internet access.

Ditto, Penguin. Your only confusion should be as to how long you wait until you get the BB Data Plan. Otherwise, you have a nice phone with SMS ability, no data, no email, no MMS, no internet, etc.

Actually, he won't even have that. The Nextel 7520 doesn't support SMS like other BlackBerry devices do.

...and it's MIDI? I'm asking because you say it's "loud enough" and you can't adjust the volume of the MIDI files themselves.

IIRC that's all that's supported on that model.

Well, too new to know what you mean None of the stock included rings are loud enough to be heard in my work place - My old phone had a nasty loud ringer that could be heard across the building. I thought I was stuck with the included rings unless you tell tell me a method to boost one but 100 times
