I was wondering if anyone with t-mobile knows if its possible to have my caller ID changed?Its under my wifes name and would like my name to show up when i call someone.Is this possible?

Say you are calling me, and I have your mobilephone number listed as "Johnny Little", once you ring me, it will register as "Johnny Little" on my Caller ID - since I configured your record as such. Otherwise, it would only show your mobilephone number and no other information.

Not necessarily true - it can depend on the phone system he's calling into.

Yes, if your number is programmed into someone else's phone with YOUR name, then your name will show up on their caller ID. However, if you call a residence or a company, then it will most likely show up with the name. When I call my house from my cell phone it shows my company's name (since they pay the bill).

I believe you'd have to have the bill changed to your name in order to change the caller ID (we have these issues with land lines and such at work and changing the bill to name is the only way). But it's worth a call to T-Mo..you might get lucky.

Just call TMo. They will change the name for you. I was actually able to call and have my company name (I'm an admin on the account) changed to my name for caller ID purposes. They should do it for you if you are an authorized user on the account.
