Default TMO in NYC Problems

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone else been having problems with their TMO service in NYC for the past few days? I have two devices (8700g) in my household that suddenly over the past two days can only connect at GSM.

Troubleshot with TMO for an hour just now and am on hold to escalate the call up to RIM.

I'm in Oregon (Salem) to be exact and I've had the same problem since Sunday the 13th. After the pull SIM, reboot, install latest OS, finally they tell me it's a network issue. They even gave me 100 free minutes-BFD
I want my EDGE and email. They say it's been going on since the 9th and have NO idea when it'll be fixed. I hope soon or I might have to take my 20 phones to another carrier.

Have an open case file with RIM now. They couldn't figure anything over the phone. Still stuck at GSM (both 8700s in my household.) This sucks.

I had a similar problem with Cingular in NYC on Monday. It gave me edge not EDGE so I didn't have any data. Tried turning the BB on and off, turning the radio on and off, reset but nothing worked. I called Cingular, they told me to pull the battery for a few seconds and that did it.

I was in NYC all day yesterday with no problems. My boss is there now. And I am 100% positive he would call me if he didn't have EDGE.

I live in NYC and I haven't experienced any problems as of yet. Hopefully, it won't be a re-occuring problem.
