Default Use phone without entering a password

I have a 7520 configured on a BES server us Nextel as a carrie. We have an IT Policy that requires a password and locks the handheld after 30 minutes. Is there away to configure it so that I do not need to unlock the device to use the phone? I contacted Nextel and they said no. Do other carries offer this option.
Thanks

To answer your question, no, it must be unlocked first--that is the point of the lock and password, right? Otherwise, why have it?

That lock option is not a service of Nextel or any carrier. You need to contact your IT/BES admins if you want the auto lock removed.

Now i am not sure about the 7520, and then again not sure on the BES either, but it is possible to use voice dial on the 8100 and 8800 with bluetooth even if the phone is locked and password protected. Again these are both on a BIS.

The IT Policy can be configured to allow you to make a call while locked. The device still has to set this option on your device. Check under Options / Security Options / General Settings. Do you see 'Allow outgoing call while locked'? If so, can you change it to 'Yes'?

If you can't change it, then it's something your BES admin would have to allow.
